What to do with the WFDiF...

Recently, when at WFDiF, I read an article on the wall from the Gazeta Wyborcza. In the article (which I cannot find online), it says that the city of Warsaw has plans to remove the laboratorium and everything else there, and put there instead a park and a steet.

I spoke with Roguska about this, and she said that it was true, but she is unsure how serious the possibility is.

Anyways, I am not sure if there is anything we can do, but I told her maybe we would make a petition or something, since she has been so nice to us, always developing film for free and stuff like that...

Anyone have an opinion or more information about this?

I've heard about these plans few years ago when I was studying in some kind of "film kindergarden". Our headmaster was anxious about transforming polish cradle of film culture into another financial centre, shopping mall or apartment complex. On the other hand WFDiF right now is nothing but one film studio (where crapy sitcom is being produced), few magazines with old production designing stuff, some offices and our beloved and so-so managed laboratorium. I don't know if there's something we can do. If Wielka Lampa will develop fast we might buy whole area, knock down all the buildings exept Roguska's Palace and erect something between Pinewood and Barrandov with little amount of Stare Atelier.
